Ryder Cup 2010

What an extraordinary Ryder Cup thus far!

Such a great shame in so many ways, but how about the quality of golf on show under such immense pressure and in such demanding ground conditions. I REALLY do not know how all the players not just the Euro’s create such continual quality. The iron shots to greens of day 3 especially I thought was purely breathtaking, and how about some of the putting? Hats off the guys are pure geniuses, and the theatre they create just about as good as anyone could script.

The final bout of singles has a lot to live up to, and just how many folk will be there to see it? The respective tours have a lot to answer for if they have small numbers squelching round the course, ticket holders from today are given access , but how many of them are able to change plans at no notice. Make it a ‘peoples’ Monday for goodness sake guys, promote golf to the masses- this is a one off opportunity to do so. Otherwise expect and deserve a wrath of negative publicity from the written media especially!

Anyhow, only my view.

Good luck Monty and the boys in blue!

Oh and by the way, can the USA team outfits look any worse? Not that I am at all biased!
