1st day in Sicily

Well I made it here! 2am when I arrived at the dodgy of dodgyest B and B’s! This place is amazing, on the foothills of Mount Etna and the village dates back 400bc!

Tatty it is, cold and wet it is too. the course is so narrow you have to walk single file down the fairways. Lots of positional play from every tee in fact, today playing the course ‘blind’ I didn’t miss a fairway and missed only 1 green, a 1 over 73 was poor the way I played. But form is good and i look forward to the 2nd round and hope the conditions are a tad better for all.
4 under leads, I am top 20 , so not out of it at all. cheers A
