Mere Golf & Country Club situated in the heart of northern Cheshire.
Mere boasts an 18 hole Golf Course, superb indoor teaching academy and leisure club. A privately owned Club with over 1,000 members. A fabulous facility that hosts many private functions, weddings and Corporate Golf events.
A very picturesque golf course with 4 holes that run alongside the Mere, a huge freshwater lake.
Over the years Mere has hosted many Professional events, and in 2009 will become a regional Open qualifying venue for the first time.

Off the Championship tees Mere is in the region of 7,000 yards. Off the members tees a very enjoyable and playable challenge in the region of 6,500 yards.
The course is dominated by its difficult finish. The 15th with a risk or reward tee shot over a narrow stream, the extremely tough 16th, a long raking par 4 around the huge beech trees, a tricky 17th, and the demanding 18th a card wrecker if ever there was one, a par 5 sweeping round the edge of the Mere, a terraced fairway to be found with the tee shot, and the huge oak tree and treacherous deep bunkers to be negotiated short of the very tricky green.
